Welcome to my digital space! I’m Emsie, a passionate Researcher, Policy and Digital Rights Specialist committed to shaping a digital world that upholds fundamental human rights. With a focus on AI & Emerging Tech Ethics, Policy Advisory, and Stakeholder Engagement, I collaborate with diverse groups to promote the responsible use of emerging technologies. My work is driven by a deep commitment to media freedom, particularly protecting journalists, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders. Recognized among the Global 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics in 2024, I’ve helped influence policy, including integrating ethics into Zambia’s AI National Strategy, and led workshops on digital rights and AI ethics with government bodies, civil society, and industry leaders. Academically, I hold an MSc in Media and Communications (with distinction) from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where I explored the governance of technology and media. Beyond my professional pursuits, I find joy in painting and appreciating art.
